The Aucoin Hart Foundation was established shortly after hurricane Katrina in response to industry partners looking for immediate ways to help those affected by the storm.
A separate entity to Aucoin Hart Jewelers, the Aucoin Hart Foundation’s purpose is to direct a growing network of national and international jewelry companies who wish to help improve the lives of the people of the greater New Orleans area through charitable events and donations.
The Foundation has identified housing, healthcare and education as the most critical areas needed for the rebuilding process and beyond.
To date, the Aucoin Hart Foundation has helped Habitat for Humanity and Payton’s Play it Forward Foundation, among others, to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Past events have included mobilizing a work force to build a house for Habitat for Humanity, as well as in store raffles for one of a kind diamond fleur de lis jewelry with world champion Saints’ Coach Sean Payton. The events have raised over $100,000 for these causes (See videos below).
We also hope the foundation can serve as a model for other local businesses to draw resources from their own respective industries to help rebuild a greater New Orleans.
