Jewelry Education

Jewelry is a form of personal adornment and has a long history with many different uses among different cultures.  It has endured for thousands of years and provides insights into how ancient cultures worked.

The modern jewelry movement began in the late 1940s at the end of World War II with a renewed interest in artistic and leisurely pursuits.  Jewelry as “wearable art” was spearheaded by famous designers such as David Yurman and Mikimoto.
